“It helped me to understand what my child is feeling. I will try to
think more before I speak, and not over control our communication.”

REALISING THE VISION |
|
|
|
|
|
Helping students, with informed support from parents and teachers, to make educational, career and life choices more
relevant to their real needs and aspirations.
The Mindscreen Experience programme provides each student with their own unique personal profile as well as an Experience
Diary. The Diary contains positive learning activities and questions relating to their profile and is delivered in nine
lessons or less by trained teachers to help students to:
- Better understand themselves, build self-confidence and esteem
- Learn more about their unique strengths, characteristics and what matters to them
- Understand how they interact and affect others like their school friends, teachers and family
- Set their own goals and plans for the future that make the best use of their unique talents and strengths
A “Home Pack” is delivered to parents/carers and is designed to help parents/carers guide their child at subject choice
time and better understand and positively relate with their child. Students are asked to discuss elements of their profile
with their parents/carers as part of one of the learning modules, helping to support and encourage parent and child
communication and relationships.
The Mindscreen Experience is proving to be a very valuable resource for students, teachers and parents in identifying students’ strengths, planning the next stage in their education and in some cases, providing indicators for career choices.
